Profhilo
Profhilo is a revolutionary non-surgical 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment. It is a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal skin cells. How does Profhilo work?
Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the treatment area. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.
As a stabilised product, Profhilo's activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo is simply only a skin booster, as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.

Does Profhilo have any downtime?
The downtime following the treatment is minimal, and you are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the procedure. Just avoid sun or UV light exposure, sports, strenuous physical activities, as well as saunas or hot steamy baths during the first few days post-treatment.
How long does it take for Profilo's effects to be seen?
This effect takes place within 3-5 days post-treatment. The treatment is typically administered over the course of two sessions, four weeks apart. Once results are achieved, a course of two treatments can be repeated every six months or as needed, to maintain the results.
Does Profhilo have any side effects?
There is no known risk associated with Profhilo. Minor skin irritations, bruising, or swelling common with injections usually disappear within a day. This treatment is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding or people who have allergies to hyaluronic acid.
AFTERCARE:

Do not wear make-up for 12 hours after treatment.

Do not drink alcohol or vigorously exercise for 48 hours.

Avoid sun bathing, and extremes of heat or cold for 14 days post treatment.

Any bruising may take a few days to appear, arnica can be helpful in clearing bruising. It is advisable to avoid aspirin and alcohol for 12-48 hours after treatment.

Tenderness should settle as swelling and bruising goes down.
