Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, or a liquid nose job, is a cosmetic procedure that uses dermal fillers to enhance and reshape the nose, without the need for surgery. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is used to smooth out bumps, refine the nasal tip, correct asymmetry and enhance the overall contour of the nose. This treatment is a popular option for patients seeking subtle improvements to their nose, without the commitment and risks associated with surgical options.

The treatment involves injected hyaluronic acid-based fillers into specific areas of the nose, which adds volume, shape, and definition to the nose. Non-surgical rhinoplasty benefits involve minimal downtime, less pain compared to traditional options, and immediate results. The treatment usually takes around 45 minutes.

Results last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the type of filler used and individual factors. Touch-up appearance help maintain desired appearance. Whilst this procedure is considered safe, just like any medical procedure, there is still a risk of side effects, including: swelling, bruising, and tenderness

After care

After undergoing a dermal filler nose job, it’s important to follow specific post-care instructions to ensure optimal results and a smooth recovery. Here are key things to avoid for a few days after the procedure:

  • Make-up and Skincare: Refrain from applying make-up or topical skincare products to the treated area for at least 24 hours, to prevent irritation and allows the skin to heal properly.

  • Strenuous exercise: Avoid intense physical activities and strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours, to minimise bruising and swelling, and ensure a better recovery.

  • Sun exposure and heat: Limit exposure to direct sunlight and avoid environments with intense heat (such as saunas and hot yoga classes) for at least 1-2 weeks, as heat can exacerbate swelling

  • Blood-thinning medications: Medications like aspirin increase your bruising risk and prolong the recovery period. Consult your doctor beforehand if you regularly take these medications to determine if you should avoid them.

  • Touching or massaging: Avoid massaging, pressing, or manipulating your nose for several days after the procedure, to maintain the desired shape of the filler and prevent complications.
