What are anti-wrinkle injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections are cosmetic treatments used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines in the face. The most common substance used in these injections are Botox and Azzalure, which is derived from botulinum toxin.

Are anti-wrinkle injections permanent?

Anti-wrinkle injections are temporary and last 3-6 months. This time frame is affected by your activity level, metabolism, and degree of current muscular activities.

How do anti-wrinkle injections work?

Botox works by blocking nerve signals in the injection site muscles, so nerve messages doesn't reach muscles, stopping muscle contraction. This causes wrinkles to be softened, reduced or even removed. Botox is minimally invasive and virtually pain-free, as the injections use an exceptionally fine needle, and the therapy is completed in just a few minutes, letting you continue with your day.

What can anti-wrinkle injections correct?

Anti-wrinkles injections only work on wrinkles caused by muscle movement (known as dynamic wrinkles or expression lines), such as crow's feet around the eyes, frown lines or the '11' between the brows, or any other lines caused by smiling, frowning, squinting, and other facial expressions.

Are anti-wrinkle injections instant?

The effect of treatment isn’t instantaneous, but takes affect over a few days; you’ll see previous lines and wrinkles have reduced or even disappeared. New skin creasing will also be avoided, improving your long-term skin appearance.

What is the difference between anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers?

The main difference between anti-wrinkles injections and dermal fillers is that anti-wrinkle reduces fine lines and wrinkles, whilst dermal fillers add volume and fullness to areas. This means that whilst both can be used to target ageing, dermal fillers are also used for aesthetic purposed on lips and noses.
